What if we made the first five minutes feel a little more human? Less setup. One good question. A small moment that makes someone think, “this was made for me.”

Works with Apple Voice Memos Transcribes on your Mac Fits into your workflow

You have the thought.
We’ll take it from here.

That flash of inspiration deserves a next step.
Give it one, without adding another thing to your list.

01

Say what’s on your mind.

Record right in Memoed, import an audio file, or connect Apple Voice Memos to bring in recordings from your other devices.

02

Find the words, already there.

Use the recording’s embedded transcript or let on-device Apple Speech turn your audio into text.

03

Put a good thought to work.

Run the actions you choose. Copy your audio, send a webhook, or start your own script.

One small memo.
So many places to go.

Your tools. Your system. Your slightly unusual way of
doing things. There’s a workflow for that.

Give it a home.

Send a copy of your audio to a folder you choose. Build an archive, keep a project together, or make a little room for your next idea.

Your original recording stays where it is

Your voice.
Your Mac.
Your business.

Some thoughts are just for you. Transcription happens on your Mac, using embedded text or Apple Speech. Your audio isn’t sent to a transcription server.

You decide what happens next. Webhooks and scripts only share recordings with the destinations you configure.

What exactly is Memoed?

Memoed is a Mac app for recording audio and putting it to work. Record directly, import an audio file, or connect Apple Voice Memos. It can reuse embedded transcripts or create text on your Mac, then save audio or transcripts to a folder, send a webhook, or run a script. You choose which pipelines run automatically.

Can I record on my iPhone?

Yes. Record in Apple Voice Memos on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch and let Apple’s iCloud sync bring the recording to your Mac. Turn on Connect Apple Voice Memos in Memoed’s Settings to pick it up once it has downloaded. You can also record directly in Memoed or import M4A, MP3, and WAV files.

Does my audio leave my Mac?

Transcription uses embedded text or on-device Apple Speech recognition. It never falls back to a transcription server. If you configure a webhook or custom script, that action can send audio and transcripts to the destinations you choose. License activation and periodic validation require an internet connection.

Which Macs and languages are supported?

The beta requires macOS 13 or later and supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Speech recognition language support depends on your Mac and its installed speech resources. Microphone access is needed to record; Speech Recognition is needed to create transcripts. Full Disk Access is only needed for the optional Apple Voice Memos connection.

How can I get the beta?

Memoed is currently being tested with a small group by invitation. If you’ve been invited, your invitation includes your license key and the right download links. Follow the beta setup guide to get started. Public downloads and self-service signups are not available yet.
